How Pageant Coaching Can Make or Break Your Chance to Win a Scholarship

Pageant interview questions

A friend of mine in pageants used to get unbelievably stressed out over her competitions. She had no issues with her body image or public speaking, it was the interview that always got her. She over thought everything and freaked out that people just thought she appealing to them instead of being honest and she thought that the judges would hate her honest answers.

In America, today, there are approximately 250,000 contestants that compete in beauty pageants annually, while there are three to four million people around the world that compete in beauty pageants annually. She needed some serious pageant coaching, she thought, to stand out from the other girls. She needed pageant coaching to really give her an edge.

The thing that adult and teen pageants focus on are makeup, hair and gowns, swimsuit modeling, as well as the personal interviews, and she believed she could compete and win in most of the physical categories. Beauty pageants can also be multicultural or they can appeal to a specific and particular ethnicity, such as Miss Chinese International Pageant, or Miss Black America or Miss Indian America.

The pageant interview part used to only bother her just a little bit, but once college scholarships started to raise the stakes, my friend started to freak out. She needed that money to get through school. So, she found some pageant coaching that got her through her first big win and gave her more confidence. As she kept receiving her pageant coaching, she got more and more wins all thanks to her pageant coach.

Now, she faces the pageant interview questions fearlessly, with a clear ambition in her eyes ready to take the college scholarship so she can fulfill her dream to become a pediatrician and help kids across the world. (This last part was part of what her pageant coaching taught her to say during the interview.)
